About the Job
ANC Inc is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team in the regulated Canadian cannabis sector. This role is responsible for managing procurement activities, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with strict regulatory requirements governed by Health Canada under the Cannabis Act.

You will play a key role in supporting cost-effective purchasing strategies, maintaining supply continuity, and driving value across the supply chain in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, RFQs, negotiation support, purchase orders, and vendor management.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with federal cannabis regulations and internal compliance policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships throughout the cannabis supply chain.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and value optimization.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support contract lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and support operational requirements.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
  • Support inventory planning and supply continuity in a regulated environment.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting using ERP and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices and contract management.
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulatory frameworks governing cannabis operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); ERP experience is an asset.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
