Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Recruiter to support our team on a maternity leave contract. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process while also providing HR, administrative, and operational support across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, resourceful, motivated and driven self-starter who will be in line with ANC’s core values Respect, Impact, Innovation. 

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
  • Design and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet ongoing hiring needs 
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and job specifications 
  • Post job advertisements on Indeed and other recruitment platforms 
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates 
  • Schedule and conduct interviews across various departments 
  • Develop interview questions tailored to specific roles 
  • Prepare recruitment materials and maintain candidate tracking systems 
  • Assess candidates’ skills, experience, and overall fit with the organization 
  • Provide onboarding support, including initial training coordination for new hires 
  • Promote the company as an employer of choice and enhance candidate experience 
  • Provide regular recruitment updates and reports to management 

HR Coordination & Employee Support:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation 
  • Monitor and track employee attendance, including call-ins, lateness, and timekeeping 
  • Support employee relations by assisting with conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions (verbal/written warnings) 
  • Partner with supervisors to address attendance concerns and performance issues 
  • Assist with terminations, layoffs, and offboarding processes 
  • Prepare employment-related documents such as contracts, letters, and internal communications 
  • Generate reports including attendance, production hours, and employee data 
Onboarding, Systems & Administration:
  • Coordinate onboarding processes, including WHMIS setup and new hire orientation 
  • Create and manage employee email accounts, access, and system credentials 
  • Maintain internal trackers and spreadsheets (employee data, lockers, interviews, etc.) 
  • Ensure accurate data entry across calendars and tracking systems 
Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Support and oversee health & safety programs and documentation 
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations 
  • Monitor completion of required checklists and safety procedures 
Employee Engagement & Events:
  • Plan and coordinate company events and team-building activities 
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives, including birthdays and anniversaries 
Customer Service & Administrative Support:
  • Manage customer service inquiries via email and phone for 34st brand
  • Provide front desk support, including greeting visitors, handling deliveries, and managing incoming calls 
  • Support general administrative and facility needs as required 
  • Check mail twice a week

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in recruitment, HR, multi-entity environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment platforms (e.g., Indeed, Betterteams) 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience handling programs & different platforms (ADP or similar) 
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Other office suite tools.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of cross-functional teams. 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks or deadlines.

  • This is a temporary maternity leave coverage position

Job Type: Full Time – 1 Year Contract
Expected work hours: 40 per week
